MISS FRANKIE TEASE

(Producer/ Performer)

Miss Frankie Tease is the Granddaughter of a flapper, & also was a

swing dancer from Hollywood to San Francisco since '93. She saw her

first U.S.O. show in San Francisco 1998, and couldn't believe her

eyes! Between that and the tassel videos shown at 'the Deluxe' she was

hooked on the genre that seeks to bring old style to life. Originally

from Long Beach, CA, the first appearance of Miss Frankie Tease was at

a house party in 2003 in Portland, OR. The parties became more regular

with some stage work mixed in, as she honed her craft.. In '07,

Frankie entered the Viva Las Vegas Burlesque contest, and has gone

much more public as a Burlesquer since. Her stage trademark is the

element of surprise combined with daring acrobatics.

Frankie's background in Entertainment includes: Pageant Choreography,

Ballroom, Wedding, Troupe Choreography, Emcee, Ballroom Dance

Instruction/ Performance, DJ, Burlesque, Strip Tease, & Artists'

Portrait Model. Frankie has performed...Studio Vocals and percussion,

Radio, TV, and Stage, and will be launching a new "How To" column for

the hit burlesque blog http://thecandypitch.com

Frankie is the founder of GirlPartiesPDX.com and Creator/ Artistic

Director of Big Top Bottoms Up, Tease Time: A Modern Burlesque Show

[changing locations] and Pastie Parade Burlesque Show [ slated 2/16 at

Plan B, Portland]. Her pin-up, burlesque and model hero is Betty Page,

unequivocally. Without discovering Betty Page through the

swing/rockabilly scene there may be no Miss Frankie Tease.

Miss Frankie Tease will celebrate her 1 year as Producer with a

Burlesque Performance, and by getting a live tattoo by Mad Marcii of

Lady Luck Tattoo.

AMANDA RICHARDS aka DeManda

On a sunny California ranch, a freckled young girl sings the catchy

chorus she’d come up with while riding the trail. For Amanda Richards,

it’s a perfectly natural thing for a six-year-old to do – after all,

it’s in the blood. Her country musician Dad often brings her onstage.

Two aunts are country musicians. And Grandpa sang tenor in the

legendary Sons of the Pioneers. It would almost be hard for her not to

write and sing.

Fast-forward to a teenage Amanda hitchhiking across Oregon. She’s

taught herself to play guitar, busking for cash while crafting songs

that blend her country/folk heritage with bohemian spirit. A handful

of coffeehouses and impromptu sidewalk gigs lead to the music program

at Mt. Hood Community College, which she attends off and on. More

traveling troubadour than student, Amanda frequently treks back to the

childhood ranch – often earning bus fare by singing for other

passengers.

By 21 she’s released her first album, Not Always Sexy. It’s a little

bit country, a little bit rock, and full of memorable, radio-ready

hooks. Her vulnerable yet empowered vocals have begun to take on a

sultry quality beyond her years. Songs like Cookies and Whiskey are

turning into rowdy sing-a-longs at her shows.

Her follow-up, Live at Mississippi Studios, captures a sold-out show

featuring Amanda’s voice and guitar accompanied only by cello. In this

setting, her delivery is more intimate, her stories of broken

relationships more poignant. A record release party at Portland’s

Aladdin Theater finds her playing to her largest crowd to date.

Afterward, like any gypsy troubadour would do, she heads to the

Caribbean for a few months of sun and songwriting.

Returning home, Amanda and her band win a trip to Austin for the

finals of Famecast, a national battle of the bands, where they place

3rd. Bigger Oregon gigs follow, ranging from solo acoustic sets to

full band shows, including a stop at Nike World Headquarters to play

for The Lance Armstrong Foundation’s LIVESTRONG Challenge. Between

shows, Amanda and the boys hole up in the recording studio. This time

around, acoustic and electric guitars, drums and upright bass are

rounded out with cello, weeping pedal steel guitars and swirling

organ, creating the most diverse blend of bohemian country she’s laid

down to date.

Amanda's altar ego for Burlesque allows her to do her much more

off-color songs, which are written especially for the show.

Meghan Mayhem

The Pacific Island Pin-Up

Meghan Mayhem was introduced to burlesque at age eight when she was

selected to perform as a saloon girl to do the can-can. Rumors are

Mayhem was raised by wild drag-queens in a strange forbidden land time

has long forgotten. In actuality her fascination with burlesque is

attributed to countless hours spent watching Ziegflied Follies,

Marlene Dietrich movies and listening to Cab Calloway. Her interests

in burlesque never stifled during her childhood years and continues to

grow even today. Mayhem discovered the resurgence of burlesque in the

early 1990's at a cabaret review starring Dita Von Tease. That moment

provided the impetus for Mayhem to form the Cherry Blossom Cabaret in

2006. Cherry Blossom Cabaret, a local vaudeville-inspired performance

troupe. This presence is exemplified through a number of characters

she portrays. Audiences are sure to be thrilled by the unbelievable

bump and grind session.
