B o y & B e a n
Boy and Bean got their start in Washington state in the winter of 2008. Luke and Amber Short began this husband and wife duo with one song, "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon." In January 2008, the couple moved to portland. Noticing the wide acceptance of street musicians, they decided to build on their one song repertoire. They now have over an hour of material and can be seen sharing a mic at private parties, restaurants and busking all over town. They have a regular gig at Virgo and Pisces in Northwest. Luke Short plays guitar and lends his unique harmonies to the group. He has been performing and writing music since the age of fifteen. Luke owes much of his exposure to that genre of music to his other half. Amber Short was born Amber Clark in Westwood California. She grew up surrounded by black and white film and the warm crackly sounds of the 20's, 30's and 40's thanks to her mother Margie, who was born during the depression. Amber grew up singing in school choirs but always longed to do the music dearest to her heart. Luke and Amber married in December 2005. Their inspiration lies in the vocal styles of The Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, The Boswell Sisters, Bing Crosby, The Andrews Sisters, Louis Armstrong and a host of other legendary musicians. They are quickly becoming Portland favorites via "Virgo & Pisces" on 23rd, and various other regular performances including Tease Time! We're happy to bring you the golden pipes of this duet.

Though currently based in Portland OR, Gretchen is a regular performer both as a soloist & company member of the Sisters of Salome Bellydance Collective; The premiere Bellydance company in New Orleans, LA. Known as a true entertainer, with her vibrant personality, comedic timing and ability to build audience rapport; she enjoys sharing the happiness and joy that middle Eastern Dance has to offer with others!

So like any cinderella story, picking up others laundry to peeling it off, Miss Sadie Heartbreaker began her own performances and loves company! Sadie has been seen at Big Top Bottoms Up, Dr. Sketchy's PDX and now at Tease Time! Sure to impress Sadie has one message, can you heart survive?

ANGELIQUE DeVil
Angelique DeVil is known as the ' Blonde Bombshell ' in these here parts. She has been a choreographer & performer of jazz and hip hop dance for over 10 years. She has worked with school dance teams, taught classes and workshops, and choreographed and produced two major local productions. MISS FRANKIE TEASE
Miss Frankie Tease is the founder of girlpartiespdx and also a performer and instructor. She is a new writer for the hit Burlesque Blog

Find no pretentiousness here, Frankie started as a Swing Dancer, tried stripping, and for the last few years, Burlesque! She fell in love with the art form in San Francisco in 1998 when she attended her first USO Show. Her performance and dance training is in Art & Costume Modeling, Ballroom, Tap, & Yoga. Frankie got her start in Hollywood, CA. and some how ended up here by way of Arizona. Stand by for Frankie's fleshy acrobatics, not to be missed! "Half the fun of putting this show together is informing people about amazing local vendors that I have come to love!" sais Frankie.

BABY LE STRANGE
Baby Le’Strange grew up in the dirty steel town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Named after a song from glitter rock icons T. Rex, Baby was destined to take to the stage. At an early age her mother enrolled her in dance lessons, but it quickly became clear that Baby would much rather dance wild and free than follow the rigid rules set by her instructor. During her teen years, Baby was labeled a misfit by her high school guidance counselor. With such a reputation to live up to, Baby set her sights on rock ‘n roll. She longed to perform on stage like all the rock stars she envied. She tried numerous instruments with no success and started to lose patience. Baby feared it was time to give up her dreams of taking the stage by storm. In 2007 Baby had an amazing realization - she could take her rock ‘n roll dreams to the burlesque stage! Baby’s burlesque style is a combination of three of her favorite things: circus sideshows, glam rock and bubblegum pop. She loves to perform and treats her audience with a raw stage presence topped off with a sugary sweetness. Whether it’s a cute roller skate number or a voodoo boogie-woogie, she always leaves the crowd wanting more. Baby prides herself on designing and creating all of her costumes by hand. Her main focus in performing is to feel empowered and to empower her audience. Baby loves to leave the crowd giggling and smiling as she teases and taunts them with pizzazz. MEGHAN MAYHEM
Meghan Mayhem was introduced to burlesque at age eight when she was selected to perform as a saloon girl to do the can-can. Rumors are Mayhem was raised by wild drag-queens in a strange forbidden land time has long forgotten. In actuality her fascination with burlesque is attributed to countless hours spent watching Ziegflied Follies, Marlene Dietrich movies and listening to Cab Calloway. Her interests in burlesque never stifled during her childhood years and continues to grow even today. Mayhem discovered the resurgence of burlesque in the early 1990's at a cabaret review starring Dita Von Tease. That moment provided the impetus for Mayhem to form the Cherry Blossom Cabaret in 2006. Cherry Blossom Cabaret, a local vaudeville-inspired performance troupe. Whether it is traditional burlesque with a wild twist or fire dancing the hoochie coochie, Mayhem dominates the stage with a raw and untamed presence.
